One of the greatest economic minds of the last 100 years, Milton Friedman had a gift for not only being brilliant in his field, but also having the communication skills to talk with the layman. Here’s one of Friedman’s last appearances, an hour long interview at Hillsdale College in 2006. He died later that year.

Found this not too long ago. Pretty sick music.

VIDEO: Victor Wooten Interview
In a “Recommended Reading” post a while back I suggested that everyone read The Music Lesson by Victor Wooten. Well, in case you weren’t convinced, perhaps this interview with him will push you over the edge. A great book written by one of today’s greatest musicians.
VIDEO: Dennis Prager on Liberalism
Other than Fox News, cable TV is run by leftists, and most newspapers are as well. There are plenty of great websites out there, but honestly – the best medium for conservative thought today is talk radio. I encourage everyone to listen to as much radio as possible, whether it be your own local host, or a national icon like Rush Limbaugh. There are, however, countless hosts who sometimes go overlooked. Dennis Prager is one of my personal favorites.
VIDEO: Hopsin – Sag My Pants
If you haven’t heard, there’s this new rapper out there named Hopsin. He’s pretty sick. Like, he’s pretty disgusting. His lyrics aren’t for little kids. But he’s also pretty sick – he’s a damn good rapper. His style is very Eminem-esk. Keep an eye out for this guy.

Well, first off, I’d like to thank all the loyal blog readers out there. Yesterday set a record in views, and that’s pretty awesome. Writing is fun, but it’s a lot more rewarding when you know that people are actually reading what you put out there. Thanks guys!
For the time being, I’m just putting up this nice video. New posts coming later tonight. Be patient, my friends.
VIDEO: Food Matters Trailer
I finally subscribed to Netflix. I’m a cheapskate though, so I only got the online version. It’s $8 a month and it doesn’t come with any DVDs or Bluerays via mail. Only online. I was pretty disappointed in the movie selection. Most of the movies I want to watch are only available if you pay the extra few dollars and get movies sent to you. But I don’t want that. It’s not instant enough. Besides – I found something that online Netflix is good at – documentaries.
I recently watched one called “Food Matters”. It’s all about how we feed ourselves garbage constantly, complain about getting sick, and then instead of fixing our diets, we take drugs that don’t really fix the problem. The movie goes more in depth, but you get the idea. What you eat will impact the way you live. Even as far as diseases like cancer. After watching the movie I’m slowly starting to eat more organic foods. I’ve cut out all fast food, I’m limiting my alcohol intact to only when I’m playing a gig, and I’m virtually eliminating all soda. A good start, no?
Obviously the movie had an impact on me. I strongly encourage everyone to watch it. So many people have Netflix, so if you do – it’s only a click away. Here’s a trailer for the movie.
VIDEO: Seether feat. Lzzy Hale
I’ll be honest. I’m not a huge fan of female rock singers. I don’t have anything personal against them, I just never got into their music. And really, I don’t think I’m that unique. Most people really only know of one big name female rock singer – Amy Lee of Evanescence. Well, I found someone new. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Some pretty rocking songs, great guitar and drum parts, and a killer singer. I am a fan. Here she is singing along with Seether. Great performance!
VIDEO: Chris Cornell – “Like a Stone”
I’m still getting ahold of this blogging thing. I’ve been at it for a few months, and I’ve received a lot of positive feedback. I really appreciate the friendly comments on here and on twitter, as well as all of the “likes”. I’m still trying to figure a few things out – like the best time of the day to post stuff, which topics get the most responses, and how to market this blog to reach the largest audience. It’s these questions that will take the longest time to answer. Oh well. We’ll see.
Be patient while I experiment with all of this. I’ll try to keep things interesting, informative, and hopefully somewhat enjoyable. Right now – it’s a lazy post. Video again? Yeah. Video again. Hope you like Chris Cornell performing Audioslave’s “Like a Stone” live and acoustic.
